Rodrigo Gastellum – Executive Chef
   
Chef Rodrigo Gastelum has worked within the culinary field for over 15 years now. Upon starting work in the kitchen of a Mexican restaurant in Denver in 1991, Gastelum quickly realized his passion for the industry. And it did not take long for him to discover a more specific love within the field, Italian cuisine.

In 2000 Chef Rodrigo moved to the Vail Valley where he used his experiences at a variety of restaurants in the area to fine tune his skills in the kitchen. In 2006 Gastelum used this broad base of culinary experience to secure the position of Executive Chef for Blue Moose Pizza, an Italian bistro in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Chef Gastelum admits, though he feels great excitement to finally be working in the industry about which he feels such passion, the Blue Moose kitchen is actually his second favorite locale to prepare food.

Where is he most passionate? Gastelum states his favorite kitchen is the one in his own home, where he enjoys working side by side with his children to preparing meals for his family.
